I live and work in Perth, Western Australia. Between 2005 and 2012 I lived in Kushiro, Hokkaido and then in Ten’ei-mura and Shirakawa-shi in Fukushima.

Over my time there I grew to love the culture, people and food. I decided to bring a little bit of Japan back into my life more actively and to write about it.

The best way to do that? FOOD, of course.

I work in the city, so many of these posts will be about casual lunches rather than fancy dinners.

There will also be some information about Japanese things and events in general as and when I encounter them.
